Productive Night Routine

Hey guys!

While I may seem like one of the most unproductive people in the world, I promise I’m not! I will also be posting a productive morning routine blog that will go along with this one. My routine is super simple and something that I have found helps to keep me productive.

The first thing I do when I come home, is update my lunchbox. I toss all of my old dishes in the sink and pack it for the morning. As I said in one of my older posts, I meal prep for the whole week so that I don’t have to worry about figuring out what to cook each night. By packing my lunch immediately when I get home, I am saving time in the morning.

The next thing I do when I get home is my daily chores. Click here for my daily cleaning routine! Because I do a little bit each day, it never actually takes long to clean the house. This is important to do right when you come home because once you get sucked into Netflix, you’re way less likely to want to do it.

The third thing I do, is shower and pick out my outfit for tomorrow. This includes; shoes, jewelry and handbag. I like to shower first in case I want to try something on together. I said before in one of my blogs that I like to pick a color for the week. It helps me to pick out an outfit easier and helps to ensure all of my clothes are actually being worn and aren’t just thrown in the back of the closet.

Now that all of my chores and responsibilities are taken care of, I like to watch TV while I eat my dinner. I don’t feel rushed to eat dinner or pressured to only watch one episode since my responsibilities are all taken care of. Occasionally, I’ll freshen up my nails after dinner and sneak in another episode of whatever I was watching.

Before bed, I always do 15 minutes of yoga and read a chapter of whatever book I’m reading at the time. This helps to wind down my night and relax my body. Sometimes I will update my planner or to-do list, but that is usually set for me on Sunday during my weekly prep.

  1. Yoga at night? A bit unorthodox, I think..
    I turn off the high intensity lights, turn on the low intensity ones and read a relaxing fiction book (no thrillers or I stay up all night LOL!)
