‘Wine’ down and relax!

Now I say ‘wine’ down because that’s how I personally relax. Lately, I am obsessed with this Martin Codax Albariño. I’ve literally been pairing it with everything lately! I like to start my ‘wine’ down time with a nice glass of wine to get me really loose and relaxed! That’s step 1, keep reading to find out the other four major steps in my self care routine!

Step 2: Candle

I love a good candle. It warms you up, if the wine hasn’t already and the smell is so relaxing. It can really change your mood for the better! My current scent is this one is lemon and mint. I got mine for $10 on clearance at TJ Maxx, but here is the link. The original price is $17.50.

Step 3: Mask Time

During a self care routine, I typically do a hair and face mask. I am loving this Alba hair mask and this Teatox face mask. The mask does tingle a lot when I first apply it but the feeling goes away within a few minutes. There is no better feeling than a glass of wine while your hair softens and face detoxifies. I was unable to find a similar face mask to link.

Step 4: Nails

Getting my nails done professionally is not a luxury I can always afford. When I’m having a self care day, I like to paint my own nails.  I typically do this after I wash my face and rinse my hair so I don’t have to worry about messing up my nails. This week, I decided to go with a color called Red Carpet by Sally Hansen. I purchased this for about a dollar at Price Chopper.

Step 5: Tea time

I love Celestial’s Lemon Zinger Tea. Any decaffeinated tea will do though. This is usually my last step, while I either write in my journal or read a chapter in a book. It helps to put me in such a great headspace before bed.
